Primary Futures

Free, fun, and inspiring activities to motivate children and bring learning to life by connecting schools with workplace volunteers.

Primary Futures is a free simple and effective tool for delivering careers-related learning to link the classroom to the wider world in order to broaden children’s horizons, raise aspirations, and challenge stereotypes.

The Primary Futures platform gives schools access to a pool of volunteers from a range of different sectors for both virtual and in-person age appropriate careers activities and
employer encounters.

The Primary Futures’ library of pre-recorded videos are an easy taster to get started before giving children the chance for live interactions through our What’s My Line? job guessing game or traditional Q&A formats. These curated video career talks with interactive discussion, pause points and pupil activities cover themes from top secret jobs at GCHQ, essential skills for the workplace, STEM in everyday life and tackling gender stereotypes at KS1 AND KS2.
