National Citizens Service Away from Home 5-Day Experience

The National Citizen Service (NCS) is a personal and social development programme for 15–17 year olds. Established in 2011, NCS aims to build a more cohesive, mobile, and engaged society. By bringing young people together from different backgrounds for a unique, shared experience, it helps build confidence and unlock potential.

The NCS away from experiences are five-day, four night residential trips where young people will be able to try new activities and learn new skills.

There are three experience themes available to choose from: Live It, Boss It, and Change It.

As a government supported scheme, NCS is amazing value for money – the whole experience costs students only £95 in some cases completely Free (FSM/care experienced/young carer/EHCP/Universal Credit)

This includes activities, transport, meals, and accommodation.  Poster below.

  • Help improve students’ confidence and social skills
  • Certificate and skills for CVs and applications
  • A great way for students to celebrate graduation from High School
