Liverpool City Region Employer Network

The Liverpool City Region Employer Network makes it easier to connect with schools, special schools, and colleges, inspiring the future workforce and helping young people find their best next step.

The Liverpool City Region Employer Network is brought to you by The Liverpool City Region Careers Hub and All About Futures.

The Employer Network is a membership service that supports businesses to engage with schools and colleges in the Liverpool City Region.

This could be through work experiences, talks and visits or strategic support.

No matter the barrier, we will help to make it work.

  • Develop talent pipelines & close skills gaps
  • Increase workforce diversity
  • Promote your apprenticeships and boost apprentice skills with our Apprentice Membership
  • Boost staff confidence through volunteering
  • Enhance your Corporate Social Responsibility

There are three different membership options in the Employer Network. You will be asked which membership you are applying for on your application. Don’t worry if you’re unsure, we can support you during your induction.

  • Company Membership: Using the support of the LCR Employers’ Network, Company Members will develop a company-wide strategic approach to their school/college outreach programme.

Each companies’ main point of contact will be a senior member of staff who will then feed plans to their wider staff network.

  • Individual Membership: For members who want to support as an individual rather than planning a company wide strategic plan.

They may have signed up themselves or have been referred via a Company Membership. They will usually offer operational support to schools and colleges but may be asked to support strategically depending on the individual.

  • Apprentice Membership: Apprentices who want to use this as an opportunity to develop themselves and promote apprenticeship opportunities.

Usually, they will have been referred to sign up via a Company Membership. They will mainly support operationally (Give an Hour etc) but may be asked for strategic input depending on the individual

When joining the Employer Network, you will be assigned a designated team member to support you during your school and college engagement journey.

As a member you will receive:

  • Employer Standards to review current state and action plan
  • Agile volunteering approach to working with schools/colleges
